Description This artwork was commissioned by the Radboudumc in Nijmegen in 2005 for the new pathology department. It was inspired by the various cell structures of tissue samples, as seen through a microscope. The samples are taken during an autopsy. Silhouette sketches of the human body are filled with microscope images of the colourful cell structures. The images are then printed on glass, on which a second glass panel was clamped, in the same way as the tissue samples themselves when viewed under a microscope. The colourful artworks were displayed in three of the hospital corridors, against a backdrop of old autopsy tables. This post is also available in: NL
